The Challenge...
Our client wanted to throw a 1920's themed party in an historic building while playing a game that would keep the guests engaged. The challenge was that the party would be spread through several smaller rooms, and would be set up in cocktail format rather than banquet seating style. The game would have to be played throughout the rooms and on the move,
Our Solution...
We proposed a custom designed scavenger hunt murder mystery to be played throughout the mansion during which the guests would interact with six characters and solve a murder, . Our team produced:
-
A full murder mystery script performed in several different spaces in the building.
-
Six professional actors in custom designed costumes.
-
Materials for the scavenger hunt that everyone received.
-
Music played during the event (and even some performances from the actors!)
-
Prizes for the guests that finished the scavenger hunt and guessed the killer correctly.
The Result...
The crowd was ready to play and decked out in their best Roaring 20's finery when they arrived at the event on a late September evening. As they mingled with one another, enjoying a cocktail and some delicious bites, they were approached by some suspicious characters, who would whisper a tid bit in passing or regale them with stories of their antics. As the evening progressed, explosive scenes began to break out among the many rooms, as the characters clashed and revealed their motives. Then, a gun shot rang out, and the ne'er-do-well owner of the night club dropped to the floor - murdered! Now the mystery was in full swing, and it was time to question the suspects and play the scavenger hunt. The guests rushed from room to room, trying to gather as much information from the characters as they could before the time ran out. Finally, a bell tolled, all of the answers were handed in, and the killer was revealed!
